Posted by admin On October - 3 - 2009

TNT Well we are just getting ready to leave Orlando Florida today. We have really enjoyed learning about the new Bernina products. We have also learned so much about new techniques, sewing tools, notions, fabric and so much more.

We can’t wait to get back to Provo & St. George and share the latest Bernina information with you. We will have new machines in our Store soon as well. We will have the New Bernina 330, 350PE & 380 which are awesome machines coming in which will replace our Bernina 220, 230PE & 240 Machines. We have loved our current machinese but the new machines are loaded with great features and they are ready to tackle your sewing nees. They are beautiful machines. We also have a new Bernina 635LE to share with you our customers. Get ready to say “wow” when you see this machine. The 635LE is a limited edition machine similar to the 630E that offers a new outer design that you can customize, it features new Embroidery Designs and Stitches. We can’t wait to have it in the store and share it with you. We will be back in the Store Wednesday, just ask us for details and we would love to share.

SewWhatever

SewWhateverHello Ladies! There was a great turnout last Wednesday. We met some new, wonderful ladies. Our fashion show was so much fun! We had the disco ball going so it looked all sparkly. And of course, we had to have a spotlight on our absolute gorgeous models as they walked down the catwalk! One of our ladies won by shaking her hips and showing a little leg! LOL! So she won our ” Most Wiggle & Style” award. She even had jewelry to match! We could not believe how much jewelry we had there. Lot’s of beautiful stuff! It was so fun!
Oh, and our dinner was amazing! The best ever! We had cute little PB & J sandwiches provided by Smuckers. They were so yummy! Thank you all for coming.
This week is “Open Sew”. If you haven’t finished some of your projects from our Wednesday nights, or if you have a project that isn’t finished at home, or if you need help with something or just want to come sew and have fun, then come this Wednesday and let’s get it done.
For Basic Sew 101 with Richard, you’ll be making shorts. We saw some fun pj’s last time. I was hoping Richard would have his pj’s done for the fashion show (I wanted to surprise you all with it at the end of the fashion show), but he’s been really busy and wasn’t able to get it done. We’ll get him next time!
Take this opportunity to learn how to sew so you can make whatever your heart desires!

Shorts Supply List

Pattern: McCall’s 8934 (or an elastic waist shorts pattern with pockets)
This pattern is a unisex pull on boxer style shorts pattern that comes in three lengths. They are loose fitting and have a mock fly front. Each pattern has only one size, so purchase the size you need. They are sized by hip size, so if you’re not sure of your size, measure your hip at the fullest part.

You will need to purchase the amount of fabric called for according to the size and length you are planning to make.
You will also need 2 1/2 yards of 1/2″ elastic and matching thread.
Bring basic sewing supplies (sewing machine, pins, scissors, etc.)

There are a lot of fun novelty fabrics available, and these shorts would be fun in a novelty fabric.

Hello Ladies! Can you believe summer is almost over? Time is flying! You would not believe the cute, cute skirts that were being made this last week! It is so fun to see all the fabrics that have been brought in here and transformed into beautiful skirts!!!! Oh my gosh, I wanted every single one! I really think we should have one night where everybody brings their fabric in and makes me a skirt. Isn’t that a great idea? :) I just love that idea!! Well, if you weren’t able to come last week, no worries because we’re going to be doing a 2nd week of working on skirts. It’s not this Wednesday but the following Wednesday, July 22nd. In the last email I know I told you it was going to be next week, but I wanted to plan a little surprise for you sweet ladies. I’m having a lady from Las Vegas coming that sells gorgeous jewelry!! The only day she could come was on the 22nd. I switched the class, so when you finish your skirts, you can accessorize with the beautiful jewelry. At the end of the evening, you’ll show your new look as you walk down the runway at our fashion show. So remember on the 22nd we’re having the second class for the skirt. I’m so excited!!!!!
Next week, Wednesday the 15th,we are going to do a heirloom hankie. You don’t want to miss out on this. This hankie is so pretty. We will have kits here for you for $5.00.

Hankie Supply List:
White DMC %100, 50 weight silk finish thread

Please call and reserve your kit. We need to know how many to put together.
Everyone is welcome. The class fee is $8 plus kit.

I’ll see you on Wednesday! If any questions, please call.
